THE WARREN HERITAGE FOUNDATION ENDEAVORS TO PRESERVE AND ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF LIFE ENJOYED BY RESIDENTS BY PROTECTING, RESTORING AND MAINTAINING STRUCTURES, BUILDINGS AND OPEN SPACES WITH HISTORICAL AND ARCHITECTURAL SIGNIFICANCE IN THE TOWN OF WARREN.

What makes Warren — Warren? In 2013, a group of residents, who cared deeply about their community, gathered to answer that question. In response, because Warren’s sense of place is fundamental to the character of the Town, they established the Warren Heritage Foundation to promote the maintenance of some of the town’s historic structures and cultural sites.

Since its founding, WHF, a nonprofit corporation, has awarded more than $70,000 in matching grants to five outstanding buildings that grace Warren’s streets: Methodist Church, Masonic Temple, Baptist Church, Hail Library and Warren Armory. The funds are generated from a growing endowment and annual fundraising events supported by generous donors in the community.

In addition, WHF worked closely with like-minded organizations to locate informational markers at notable historic sites and to provide walking tours to acquaint visitors with Warren’s history.
